Costa Rican Honeymoon, Day Seven

Praise the Lord! The sun finally showed its face today!

We went for breakfast and then checked out the gift shop. When the sun came out, hubby made arrangements for us to go horseback riding on the beach.

At 11, we were met by the owner of the horses and two small boys. One of the boys, who was 11, was our guide. We went up on this hillside overlooking the ocean and then back down and onto the beach. It was a blast once I figured out how to sit without causing profuse pain to my internal organs. We rode for an hour, which was plenty - our butts could only take so much! It was one of the coolest things I have ever had the chance to do.

After, we laid out on the beach for a little bit. The beach was littered with debris from all of the rain. We decided to leave and go to the pool instead.

At the pool, the iguanas started coming out to sun themselves. These suckers are HUGE! While I was taking a pic on hubby, I sat on a bee - ouch! It stung the crap out of my hamstring. Hubby rubbed ice on it for awhile and it blew up like a balloon. After three Alleve and some neosporin though, I was good to go.

At lunch, we finally saw a howler money - he was up in a tree eating leaves - so cute! We gawked at him for awhile and had lunch with the tamarindo birds.

After lunch, we worked out with some machines set up outside and then I went for a quick run on the beach. After I showered, hubby gave me a nice massage and we took a nap until dinnertime.

It actually wasn't raining tonight and we got to see the stars - muy bonita! After, we went back to the room and cleaned our booty of sea shells from the other day.

Hubby is reading now - a shocker!!! Some of my good habits are actually rubbing off on him!

Anyhow, it was a great day - so happy to see the sun and a monkey. Life could not be better!
