My husband and I were at dinner tonight at my most favorite restaurant having dinner with one of hubby's surgeons and his girlfriend. There was a large party sitting at the table across from us -- on the end was a little girl who was so cute that I kept looking over at her. Well, suddenly I noticed the guy sitting next to the girl and said to my husband, "that guy looks just like Tim Tebow!" We debated for a few minutes and then realized it most definitely was Tim Tebow.
The fact that he was too big for the table was a sure sign, but then when people started asking for autographs, it was confirmed. We joked about saying hi but there is NO WAY I would ever do that. First off, he was with family and friends and it would be rude to interrupt, but secondly, because I'm way too shy to do something like that (no really, I am).
But, it definitely made my night! And he's cuter in person than on television.
Go Gators!!!

NATIONAL CHAMPS, BITCHES!!!
I thought it was amazing to be a Gator when I was a student at UF because we won the National Championship my first year there.
I couldn't even imagine how great it is to be there now!
South Carolina can have Spurrier...I'll take Urban Meyer anyday!!!

Wooooo M'Fking Hoooooooo
Okay, can I start celebrating yet, even though there is still 10:20 left to play?!?
Florida: 41
Ohio State: 14
Snap!!!

Boy is it great to be a Gator!
Okay, we're only at halftime for the National Championship game, but MY GOD!!! I cannot believe how amazing my boys are playing! The stars had to align for them to even get in this game, and everyone said they'd be outmatched.
The truth? Ohio State was highly overrated because their schedule was nowhere near as strong as ours. And Michigan?!? They thought they were worthy of playing in this game, but they couldn't even win against USC, who lost to two unranked teams this season.
I'll admit, I didn't expect this. I am so proud of my boys that I can't even believe it!
If they win this game, they sure as hell deserve it! If they lose, well damn...they sure did play an incredible game!

Go Gators!
The best part of winning today's game against FSU?!?
That would be when FSU seemingly scored and some fat-ass hick at the Ale House started screaming things like, "Yeah, that's right! Who's going to a bowl game now?!?" as he walked to the bathroom.
He was still in the bathroom when they determined that the touchdown was not really a touchdown. When the jackass came out of the bathroom, it was my pleasure to watch as he took the "walk of shame" back to his seat.
Hey, we might not be going to the National Championship game, but at least we aren't going to the Emerald Bowl!

Lowering expectations
How bout them Gators...making so many mistakes and penalties last night that we ended our winning streak and chance for National Title contention. I was upset about it, but then I remembered that I said at the the beginning of the season I'd be happy with an SEC title. So, unless they blow that opportunity (there's still lots of football to play this season, so it's always possible) I'll get over it.
A note to Eric Wilbur: if you are punting the ball and are suddenly under pressure, fall on the ball. Do not...I repeat...DO NOT, under any circumstance, try to kick the ball. It will likely end up in the opponent's hands and they will score a touchdown off your stupid mistake. Guess I should have said something before last night, but I thought you already knew that one.

30 years + 23 days = TODAY
My 30th birthday was great! On the evening of my birthday, my husband, parents, siblings, and friends from work went out for happy hour/dinner. I got all kinds of nice gifts. While I never expect anyone to get my ANYTHING for my birthday, it's funny because you can totally tell who considers you important in their lives and who doesn't by who remembers you birthday and who doesn't. Honestly. I'm someone who NEVER forgets a birthday - EVER...but I find you get tired of making the effort to send a birthday card every year when others don't reciprocate. It doesn't even have to be a birthday card via snail mail - e-mail works fine too. Acknowledgement is all I'm talking about. There are those people out there who (like my older brother) say, "I'm really bad about remembering that stuff" and to them I say, "It's no excuse!" Is it THAT hard to write a date on a calendar and make a phone call?!? Okay, enough about that...that's NOT why I decided to post an entry...apparently though it bothers me a little - don't you think?!? ;)
Okay, so in other news...some good, some bad...
Good News
* My work is creating a position for me so that I can telecommute and still work there - the best part is that there is a potential raise involved!
* We're trying to have a baby again!
* The drywall is up on our house and it should be ready within 45 days!
* I might not have to transfer to another university to finish up my master's degree!
Bad News:
* Our house hasn't sold yet. Never...I repeat...NEVER try and sell a home through Buy Owner - they suck!
* I'm not preggers yet (although the positive side of this is that trying sure is fun)
* I've gained back a few pounds that need to GO - however, even though I'm still 10 pounds less than I was a year and a half ago...phew!
* The Gators lost tonight against FSU - need I say more?!? Other than that, all is relatively well. I don't feel older...honestly. Okay, maybe a LITTLE bit. But that should subside once I get my fat ass out of this chair and start working out again.

It's worse than I thought!
The Gators barely beat Vanderbilt 21-17! We were "supposed" to "breeze by them" -- EVERYONE breezes by Vanderbilt! And here, we only won by 4 points!
Disgraceful!

Take that, you nasty bulldogs!
All I have to say is, "How amazing was that game Saturday night???" And being at The Landing made it that much better! The best part was at that pivotal moment when the Bulldog fans at the bar knew the Gators were going to win...suddenly, they stopped barking! It was such a great moment!
That'll teach you to not talk smack before the 4th quarter!!!
HA!!!!!

Unranked! The horror!
I know, I know - most all of my entries this month have been about the Gators - and for good reason - when they are doing well, they speak for themselves...but when they suck as bad as they do now, well, I feel I need to speak my mind.
My husband and I went to the game, er, I mean, slaughter session, on Saturday night. We had amazing seats and were so excited and optimistic. I mean, we'd lost last weekend - there was NO WAY we were going to lose two weeks in a row and there was NO WAY we were going to lose in the Swamp to a team ranked 15. Or so we thought.
It got bad, then it got worse. Then it got ugly. Then people started booing the players and we got up and left. On the way to the car, you could overhear everyone expressing their anger and disbelief. We officially SUCK!
The problem is, we're spoiled. When I went to UF, hell, my first year there we were National Champions. We kicked ass. Now, we are ass.
But I vow that I will not be a fairweathered fan. I will stick by my boys, however awful and pathetic they might be right now. And if worse comes to worse, there's always Volleyball.

Go Gators!
I really thought that we were done for this year, but apparently (and thankfully), I was very wrong.

Spanked!
All I can say is, I am so glad I didn't talk smack this past week about the Florida-Miami game.
I'll just be happy if we beat Vanderbilt this year!
