It's that time again! Another year has come and gone and I'm left to wonder where it went. A lot of my friends think 2008 sucked, and when I hear their stories, I suppose it did...but for me, it wasn't so bad. J. turned two and I can now have real conversations with him, we sold our house, my husband landed his dream job, I lost all of my baby weight, and I finished my master's degree. Sure, we lost of boatload of money on the house and we continue to lose money in the stock market, but all in all, we're doing okay.
I do have my hopes for the coming year, though:
* Get in shape! At one point this past year, I was down to 116 pounds (and nowhere near that now)...too skinny for me, but even worse when I was flabby all over. I got the Wii Fit for Christmas and I plan to use it at least 5x a week for at least 30 minutes a day.
* Eat healthier. I know I say this every year, but really...I need to! I'm got going to put limits on what I eat except to say that I resolve to be more conscious about what I am putting into my mouth.
* Be on time. I am usually late for everything. Not good. This year, I resolve to practice better time management skills and be on time for things. Especially for picking up J. from the babysitters, which means no more working late.
* Save the planet. Okay, not really, but I want to do my part. We JUST STARTED recycling this year which was a big step for us (for shame!). I want to be more conscious of what I use and try not to create as much waste.
* Get motivated at work. For awhile now, I've been lacking motivation at work...I need to get my mojo back. Not sure how, but it's something I will strive to do.
* Have another baby. We are currently working on it, though if nothing happens in a few months, we are moving on to drastic measures (i.e., assisted reproduction). My goal is to become pregnant sometime in 2009. Will it happen? Only time will tell.
* Practice consistent discipline with J. I could learn a thing or two from Super Nanny!
* Spend less money. Seriously. No, really. I'm serious. Really.
