It's a good thing he's so cute!

Yesterday, I had to leave J. overnight with his daddy while I went on a mini-business trip. It was hard, but it helped that my boss and I spent a good portion of the afternoon and evening shopping.

The really good news is that Daddy no longer thinks that taking care of J. is a "piece of cake" (as he likes to say). Especially since J. was teething really bad and up every hour and a half last night. Not that I wanted him to have a rough night, but it's nice for him to realize that this mommy stuff is not as easy as it looks.

Needless to say, he's not wanting me to go back out of town again anytime soon!

He *is* super-duper cute. Like I said, you could always box him up and FedEx him to me!! Hee, hee!

I'm glad that "Daddy" understands that infant care isn't as easy as it looks. You'd think that taking care of a baby would be easy because they're so small, but because they're so small and oh-so-dependent is what makes it challenging.

ps--sorry I couldn't talk longer on the phone yesterday.. I really wanted to! so, I hope you're not discouraged from calling again!

love ya!

Sweet picture!

I don't think they get it...and it's not something you can watch someone do and think you understand. It's totally different when you are the only one there to attend to the baby.

I hear ya girl.

Ahhhhh, shopping without kids! Heaven!

Maybe that will take care of some of your self-professed nagging?
