Yesterday, my sister threw me a small baby shower at my house. She and my mom came over to stay the weekend with us, and when I was opening presents, my mom gave me a gift from my cousin, Leyla (the very same cousin who put my husband and I up in a fancy resort on the beach and threw me a shower at said location three weeks ago), which turned out to be a pink Burberry diaper bag.
I honestly don't think I've ever been so overcome with emotion over a gift. Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones talking, or maybe it was my extreme love for all things related to purses that made me do it, but I started bawling like a baby. I don't think it was the cost of the bag that made me so emotional, but instead, the idea that someone could be so generous and unbelievably thoughtful so many times over.

Seriously, I figured that if anyone could appreciate the beauty that is this bag, it would be you two. And the great thing is that when I no longer need a diaper bag, I can use it as an uber-trendy tote bag. The material is the kind that icky spit up and nasty gooey kid stuff will just wipe right off of, so it *should* stay nice. That is, if I can ever bring myself to use it and not just stare at it in amazement and wonder. BTW, have I told you both lately how much I love you?!? So much that I may even let you touch the bag the next time I see you! ;) xoxo

I suppose since I've never been pregnant, I might have this wrong but shouldn't the diaper bag have blue colors instead of pink because you're having a boy? Just wondering.
Either way, congrats on your lovely diaperbag. It sure beats some of those I've seen out there. Ick!

To me, a diaper bag is a fashion accessory, so no - it doesn't have to be blue if you are having a boy. Leyla knew that my favorite color is pink, which makes it even more thoughtful. Besides, my next one might be a girl - you never know. Hell, it's a Burberry - it could be lime green and purple for all I care! I don't own anything else as nice as this bag!
Oh hell no! you get whatever color you want. i love pink so much, i can't imagine having a blue baby bag (boy or not)...but that's just me.
We have to stop talking about beautiful baby bags. you guys are making me hate mine more and more!
You need to look on eBay, Christine! You might be able to find something you'll like better at a decent price. Okay, so it might not be the Holy Grail of all Coach baby bags, but they do have some really cute ones on there!
i'm saving until all the kids are out of college and on their own...then i'm getting the coach baby bag.
