Last Days of the First Trimester

Thanksgiving is almost upon us...again. I swear it seems like every time you turn around, it's here. Time just flies by so damn fast that it isn't even funny.

Though I have to admit, time has been taking its sweet time getting me out of my first trimester. Only a week and 5 days to go. Woo hoo!

Not that I expect all of my horrible first-trimester symptoms to magically disappear as soon as I enter the second trimester. But it means that they are that-much-closer to going away (at least for a few months).

I'm starting to feel at least a little more energetic, which is good. Just in time for my favorite activity of all time: Christmas shopping! Not to mention all of the traveling we'll be doing in the coming weeks.

Next weekend, we're heading to Cape Cod with some friends. It should be fun, however I will likely be wiped the hell out when all is said and done. The weekend after that out of town for a couple of Christmas parties. Then the following weekend, I'll be going to south Florida to visit my family down there. After that is Christmas - we'll be heading to Maryland...I just hope my bladder can survive the car ride!

So you see, it's good that the first trimester will be over soon. Even if the fatigue, headaches, nausea, booby pain, etc. is minimized, it will make my life a hell of a lot easier to deal with.

THAT is what I am hoping to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
