Go Back to Bedrock, You Crazy Wench!

It's October, for Pete's Sake - sure, hurricane season isn't over yet, I get that, but a Category 5 storm?!? The strongest storm in recorded history?!? That's just pure crazy talk!

I think we're ready if it comes - Stephen made hurricane shutters using plywood that bolt into the wall in front of the windows. We have a nuclear supply of batteries, flashlights, Aquafina, tarps, etc. We also bought a generator last night and have a portable television.

At this point, we're not sure if we will stick around or not. I have a feeling we will though because the only place we know to evacuate is also in the "cone."

Who knows what this storm will do...luckily, we are in the northern part of the "cone" which means that we will likely experience very strong winds, but probably won't take a direct hit. Or so I hope.

Can November 30th come any sooner?!?
