The BEST Duran Duran Concert EVER!

Man, it's been awhile since I posted! I MUST share my Duran Duran adventure...

First of all, I went to the concert alone! Why, you ask? Because there was only one VIP ticket available and it was over $300! Plus, I'd made a ton of friends through the fansite and was excited to get to meet them all.

The show was absolutely incredible! They played with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and sounded unbelievable! I had 2nd row seats on John's side, so as you can imagine, the view was SWEET! The only negative was that these three little twits came over and stood next to me when they didn't belong in that area. The girl next to me never even danced or sang along. She shouldn't have even been there! But I didn't let it ruin my night. In fact, the night just got better and better!

After the show, my friend, Shannon, her husband, and I were walking out to go back across to the Peabody, these two girls were standing there and one told Shannon that the guys would be in a certain room. We decided we would hang out for a bit, and slowly walked over to the room, where a security guard was standing post. We flirted with him a bit (mind you, we had men with us and the security guard was fat and old) and he was like, "go on in" -- we went in and sat with a few girls we knew for awhile and all of the sudden, Roger walked in the room. About a minute later, John walked in...he stood there at the doorway for a few minutes - people started going up to him (I was paralyzed and couldn't get up) and about three minutes later, he left. Roger stayed in the room and talked to people, signed autographs and took pictures. Shannon and I went up and said hi to him and talked to him for about a minute. Anna (their back-up singer) then came in and told him they had to go take pictures with the orchestra. We figured they wouldn't come back, so we were going to leave...

As we were walking out, we came across this cutie boy, who turned out to be their sound guy on stage. We talked with him for a little bit and saw that he was walking to the back exit, where the guys would be leaving from. We followed him back there and invited him to hang out with us at the Peabody (some of you met him). He said he had to go and get his things and would be back in 10 minutes. While he was gone, all of the sudden, we saw John leaving, so we knew that the rest of them would be coming out too. We hung back and when Nick came out, we stopped him, shook hands (he has the softest hands) and asked if we could get a pic with him. Simon came out soon after but didn't stop at all. We never did see Andy. By then, our new friend had come back so he walked over with us to the Peabody. He turned out to be really cool to talk to - said he'd never hung out with Duranies before.

All in all, an incredible evening! I never thought I'd get the chance to meet them, so I'm stoked!!! :D
