Christmastime is here

I can't believe Christmas is already here. It seems like every month, every year, I say, "I can't believe it's already [insert month here]." Time just completely escapes me, I suppose.

It's funny, because I always bitch and moan at the first sign of Christmas (which nowadays, happens to be in like, September), but as soon as Thanksgiving hits, I'm ready for it to be over so that I can get my Christmas groove on.

I absolutely love this time of year. Halloween used to be my favorite season, however Christmas has surpassed it as I've gotten older.

This should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me, but I absolutely love Christmas shopping. Yes, mostly because I love to shop. Period. But also because I love the anticipation that comes with buying something for someone that I hope they will love (and if they don't love it, that they will at least appreciate the thought and effort).

We have a lot of people to shop for: two moms, one dad, one grandmother, three sisters, two brothers, two brothers-in-law, two aunts, one cousin, two nieces, and two nephews...not to mention my boss, my mentor, and a few friends. Believe it or not, I am pretty much finished! I've only got about three people left to shop for.

Our tree is up, the lights are hung, and we are READY...it just sucks that we have to wait 19 more days!

Now to start working on New Year's resolutions...I can't believe it's almost 2005!!!
