The slacker is back

Yes, I'm a complete slacker about posting. I admit it. But the thing is, I've been working my ass off lately. In fact, here I am on a day off sitting at the computer. It's true what they say, you can be addicted to such things. If I thought for one second that I'd be bored with this new job, it was crazy thinking. I need about two more of me to get anything done!

The cool part is that I'm doing a lot of travel - I figure I better get it done before I get pregnant (if ever). In the past few months I've gone to Washington DC and Seattle and upcoming travel includes Memphis, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and best of all..SCOTLAND!

My husband is going to join me for the Scotland trip - we're taking an extra two weeks off work for it. I can hardly wait! I have to give a 5-hour long presentation and then the rest of the time is mine. :)

So...back to the pregnancy thing. We've been trying on and off since last July and still no luck. My doc said if it doesn't happen this month, she will refer me to a specialist for testing. It's so frustrating when you want something so badly and it isn't happening. Especially when it's happening all around you. At least once a week I hear about someone else I know getting pregnant. One of these times I hope I'm the one sharing such news.

In other news, our pool is almost finished...yay!!! They are installing the tile today and now there are just a few things left to do and it will be complete. Once it's done we hope to have a par-tay and invite all of our friends from home to visit.

I promise I will TRY to do better about posting. It's just so damn crazy here -- but alas, I will try.
