This may be the best day of my life...or at the very least, the best day so far in my life. It's unquestionably the best birthday weekend of my life!!!We went to the doctor today for our first prenatal appointment and had an ultrasound done. Our baby has a very strong heartbeat and everything looks great! We are BEYOND excited and seeing our baby for the first time made it very real.
I know that it's still relatively early (8.5 weeks down, 41.5 to go), but I cannot bring myself to believe that we will not have this baby for any reason. After everything we have been through, I feel that we have been blessed with this amazing gift and that everything is going to be okay. There is so much that can go wrong, but I believe that having a positive attitude can go a long way.
