Saturday, my husband gave me my birthday present...a gorgeous diamond pendant. That night, we went out to dinner with our friends, Jen and Craig. I was craving lobster and ordered a buttload of it - couldn't even eat it all...but it was damn good!
Yesterday, I was so tired that I slept most of the morning and then again most of the evening, but in between, Stephen and I went to see In Her Shoes.
Despite the fact that I didn't get a card or a phone call from my older brother, the rest of my family made up for it.
But my friends...my friends blew my family out of the water! So wonderful and generous they were! I was inundated with messages and calls and cards and gifts...I am so truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life.
And on top of all of this, when you consider what happened on Friday, this was truly the best birthday of my life!
