Smarty Pants

So, I think we have a little genius on our hands. Yesterday, we introduced J. to his Baby Einstein Activity Center and today, he has mastered the spinning wheels on it!

But more importantly, he loves this thing so much that it keeps him entertained for at least 30 minutes or so while mommy works (though it's hard to work when all I want to do is watch him having so much fun).

Let's hear it for the blessed exersaucers! The only thing (besides the bouncy) that all three of my kids could agree on.

One tip? Make sure to get him used to being in his playpen occasionally. E. is perfectly happy to play for a few minutes if I have to jump in the shower real quick. She'll sit and do her puzzle or "read". My friends here say their kids never liked it...which makes me crazy b/c I don't think they ever tried.

Right now, we have the playpen at my MIL's house -- we're using it as a crib since the little monkey has outgrown his bassinet. When he learns to sit upright though, that bad boy is definitely going to be put to use! I can already tell that he's going to be super active, so we're going to need four padded walls to keep him safe! ;)

i still think that we should be able to duct-tape the kid to the wall. no? ah, well... one can dream, right? (Ha, ha!)

Seriously...that is one BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL baby! Then again, I really wasn't suprised about that. I mean, look at his momma! ;-)
