Another update

I started having contractions 5 minutes apart last night for 2 hours straight, so hubby and I headed back to Labor & Delivery (and missed Grey's Anatomy in the process - thank God for DVRs). When they hooked me up to the monitors, my contractions had become irregular again, so they sent us home.

We went to see the doctor this morning and she said I am 50% effaced but my cervix is still completely closed. The baby has dropped and is in position, but unless my water breaks or I start getting heavy contractions, baby J. is staying put.

Basically, it could happen tomorrow or it could happen a month from now. Only time will tell. Stay tuned!

Good Lord! I'm away from the computer for three days and you start to go into labor a month early and I just haven't mentally prepared for this yet. I hope everything goes alright. Have Stephen call me when it's the real deal.

P.S. You all are a bunch of freaks because bedrest sounds like a vacation to me.

Oh, don't get me wrong...bedrest isn't a terrible thing. It just sucks not having anything decent to watch on tv. Our couch isn't very comfortable and you can only watch DVR'ed shows on the tv in the living room, so I'm limited to HBO, Cinemax and Lifetime Original movies. My brain is too preoccupied to read, though I do have a trashy novel I'm trying to get into (The Debutante Divorcee by Plum Sykes).

I love you to pieces...start mentally preparing because it could happen at any time! And don't worry, you're on the call list!

xoxo,
Me

Yeah... Christine is right! This *is* getting exciting. I feel like I'm watching a suspenseful movie unfold and I'm on the edge of my seat on pins & needles waiting to see what happens next!!!

LOTS of hugs & smooches!!

Wooo!!! I go away for a week and now everything is starting to happen!! I am crossing my fingers for a very smooth and easy delivery for you, whether it happens tomorrow or next week or next month!

Everything is calm on the home front right now. The contractions have really slowed down and are very irregular. I give it two more weeks though.
