Any day now

As of yesterday, I am 9 months pregnant. Haven't had anything exciting happen since last Sunday night, but my comfort level has DEFINITELY deteriorated over the course of the past week. Since he "dropped," I feel as though there is a lead weight on my bladder at all times, am almost always out of breath, and cannot get comfortable to save my life. Then again, the acid reflux and coughing have subsided, so it's not ALL bad.

Now that he's only a few days shy of being full term, I just had the last baby shower, am almost done writing all of my thank you notes, and am finished nesting, he is welcome to come at any time.

You hear that, J.?!? It's okay to come out now!

This the point where each day seemed like a month to me. Time. Just. Stopped. Here's all my last minute info.

Walk. That's the best advice. Walk as often and as much as you can. That's what I did (and the EPO) and I swear it helps so much.

Do you have a BIG exercise ball? Go to wal mart and get one (like $15.00)...and only sit on that (in front of the computer, tv, etc.). It helps to put the baby in position (directly on your cervix), rather than lounging in a recliner (my doula said that is the WORST spot). Work your hips slowly in circles as you sit on it. Helps to thin your cervix.

Also make sure your stomach is sort of hanging down as much as possible (sort of the opposite of sitting in a recliner), kind of like you're hunched over almost (but not quite...your back will give out!!!)...gravity will help to keep the baby positioned right (not sunny side up) as he moves lower and lower.

Go to www.spinningbabies.com for all the info on getting him (and keeping him) in the right position. I swear, it's not a bunch of hype...the things they suggest really do help. I've had back labor one time, and I don't recommend it! ; ) With E. my labor wouldn't actually kick off (very, very slow build up) because she was sunny side up. The doula worked with me for hours, but when we did get her turned, I had her about 7 hrs later. Not that you'll have back labor, but start these things now and it will help make sure of it! : )

Whoooo-freaking-hoo!!! I'm so excited to meet that little monkey!!! Come on Jake!!

Christine - Thanks for all of the amazing advice! You rock my world!

Cory & Becky - THANKS! I can't wait either! :)

Michele - he actually listened to me when I told him last week to stay baking for at least another week, so you never know. Not ALL penis-owners are disobedient.
