I am thrilled to say that at the age of 30, I've finally met a celebrity. A REAL celebrity, as I don't think dating a guy who was in the movie "The Heavenly Kid" (and unfortunately, who wasn't Jason Gedrick) when I was in high school counts.
I am in Las Vegas at a convention for aviation business aircraft and who happens to be walking down the aisle by our booth? Harrison Ford!
I've always wondered...if I saw a celebrity on the street, would I recognize them? When I was in Beverly Hills a few weeks ago, it was hard because you expect that anyone you see could be a celebrity...but I found that if one is in the most inconspicuous of places, they are easier to identify.
So, as Harrison Ford is walking past, my heart starts racing and I say "I think Harrison Ford just walked by." Then another guy who was with us decided to approach him. He came back and brought me over to meet him. He didn't say much - I just shook his hand, said it was nice to meet him, and walked away.
It was obvious that he was paranoid that others would recognize him, but still a pretty cool experience...although, I have to say, it would have been cooler if Calista had been with him. She's much cuter than he is. ;)
