I started taking progesterone shots yesterday and was like, "this isn't so bad!" Certainly not as bad as I had been dreading for the past 2 months!
The key is to warm it up under your arm for a few minutes before administering. It also helps to ice the area both before and after.
The thing though, is that you have to take it at the exact same time every day.
This became a problem this morning, when I woke up at 9:03 and was supposed to take the shot at 9:00. I couldn't give it much time to warm, or to ice the area. It also didn't help that my hubby stuck me in a blood vessel.
That's going to leave a mark!
The sucky thing is that I have to do this every day for at least 6 weeks, if I am pregnant or until my body begins producing progesterone on its own.
My mantra: It's a small price to pay, it's worth it. It's a small price to pay, it's worth it. It's a small price to pay, it's worth it.

Sorry you have to do the shots for 6 weeks!
I had to do the progesterone suppositories for 7 weeks. Twice a day. It required laying flat for at least an hour each time. I guess you don't have to do that with the shots.
I'm praying for you!!!
Yeah, one of my friends was taking the suppositories too - after hearing about them, I decided that I would do my best to handle the shots.
PS: My butt still hurts from this morning. Ugh!

Congrats, Lola! :)
