My 'hood

Okay, so you all know about the golddiggin' bad mama and the Russian hooker, but I must share with you some snippets about my other neighbors...

Take Trick Daddy, for example. He lives three doors down and we have no idea if he owns the house, or is just a tenant. So far, we've seen him (he is a very large black man), an attractive white woman, a large Latina woman, several teenagers, and a myriad of other people on the premesis who may or may not live there. The other day, a cop was at their door, which made us wonder if maybe some illegal activity is going on there. Then again, a cop was at our door a few months ago too, but it was because of my brother hitting our neighbor's car.

Speaking of which, the people whose car he hit?!? Well, let's just say that they may have stepped right off the set of Hee-Haw. They are from Tennessee and have 7 cars in their driveway and in front of their house at all times (hence why my brother ended up hitting one - they were just asking for it). One of these vehicles is a beat-up old van that advertises a janitorial service. Classy.

And let's not even speak of the people who thought it would be completely acceptable to paint the door on their yellow house purple.

Apparently, our homeowner's association is strict on what kind of pool or fence you can have, but they don't care if the neighborhood looks like a ghetto. And mind you, this is a brand-new community and the houses aren't cheap (though they keep dropping the prices, which is no surprise...would you want to live here?!?)

On a positive note, my pediatrician lives on my street and gave us her cell phone number. How cool is that?!?

I don't have too many neighbors right now, but from the looks of it, I will have similar stories to tell as the neighborhood slowly fills up.

Our neighborhood association is the same way. They tell us what kind of fence to put up but not what colors you paint your house. My best friend's neighborhood says earth tones only- that would be a good rule. ;o)

i hear ya, sista!!! my one neighbor is apparently RENTING the unit. they've been keeping a PIT BULL in the garage and not cleaning up after it at all. the odor is becoming overwhelming. the owner of the property management company (we haven't elected our board members for the HOA yet) said at the meeting last night that he "got rid of the dog on Plymouth Place" but lo and behold at 3:30 this morning we heard barking coming from the garage.... arrrrgh!!!
