The step-down method

I got all excited today because I can now fit into my early maternity jeans...how sad is that?!?

Only 27 more pounds to go (though it's really 37 if you consider the fact that I had gained 10 pounds before I got pregnant).

Baby steps...it will get better, esp. as your hips get back to normal. I swear, I didn't gain a whole lot this time around, but my hips kept me from wearing any of my regular clothes. It seems like it takes me 4-5 months for them to go from baby-wide to my normal-wide. I think that's longer than normal though, so don't let that worry you.

I've always heard that walking helps your hip bones get back to normal...not to mention it helps w/the weight loss.

Don't be too careful w/the calories, you need them for nursing! : ) Hey, any excuse to eat!!!

Don't go changing to try and please me - I love you just the way you are.

And some of us could lose 20lbs and don't have a valid excuse like pregnancy to blame it on! *grin*

....nor do we have breastfeeding to help us melt it off!

I'm glad you're on your way back to liking your body!
