Go ahead and laugh...

Cory thinks she has an embarassing list of songs on her iPod, but I promise that mine is worse.

Decide for yourself (you may not even have ever heard of half of these songs, but trust me, they are pretty pathetic):

  • Time Passages - Al Stewart
  • The Only Woman - Ambrosia
  • Shadow Dancing - Andy Gibb
  • Secret Lovers - Atlantic Star
  • I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys
  • Emotions - Bee Gees
  • Key Largo - Bertie Higgins
  • On Our Own - Bobby Brown
  • Baby One More Time - Britney Spears
  • Genie in a Bottle - Christina Aguilera
  • Best That You Can Do - Cristopher Cross
  • Foolish Beat - Debbie Gibson
  • Let's Hear It for The Boy - Deniece Williams
  • Come Go with Me - Expose
  • Strange Way - Firefall
  • Love is Alive - Gary Wright
  • What is Love - Haddaway
  • Maneater - Hall & Oates
  • Flashdance...What a Feeling - Irene Cara
  • With Your Love - Jefferson Airplane
  • On The Wings of Love - Jeffrey Osborne
  • Torture - Jermaine Jackson
  • Believe it or Not - Joey Scarbury
  • I'm Free (Heaven Helps The Man) - Kenny Loggins
  • I'd Still Say Yes - Klymaxx
  • You Make Me Feel Like Dancing - Leo Sayer
  • Ultimate - Lindsay Lohan
  • Lady - Little River Band
  • Candy - Mandy Moore
  • Hearts - Marty Balin
  • All I Need is a Miracle - Mike and the Mechanics
  • Bye Bye Bye - N'Sync
  • Buffalo Stance - Nenah Cherry
  • Physical - Olivia Newton-John
  • Crazy Love - Poco
  • Tonight - Ready for the World
  • Endless Summer Nights - Richard Marx
  • Glamorous Life - Sheila E.
  • Spice Up Your Life - Spice Girls
  • Two of Hearts - Stacey Q
  • I Wanna Be The One - Stevie B
  • Stay Gold - Stevie Wonder
  • Hooked on You - Sweet Sensation
  • All This Time - Tiffany
  • 99 - Toto
  • They Don't Know About Us - Tracey Ullman
  • Spread My Wings - Troop
  • Magnet & Steel - Walter Egan
  • Careless Whispers - Wham!
  • Silly Love Songs - Wings

Most of these songs have some kind of nostalgia attached to them, but I only play them when I am by myself for fear of being laughed at. I promise that I also have some very good songs on my iPod as well. You may not believe me after seeing the above list, but trust me, I do.

Oh, and yes, the Joey Scarbury song is the theme to tv show, The Greatest American Hero. You can stop laughing now.

I think Let's Hear it for the Boy is a cute song choice, considering you are expecting a boy very soon!
Guilty pleasures, that's what that list is. Let me tell ya, my iPod is full of those too. That's why iPod's are so much fun!

Don't get fresh with me! ;)

Did I just see Bobby Brown on there?

I can't believe there is someone in the world who listens to All I Need is a Miracle...on purpose.

I'm never posting my embarrasing song favorites. Just suffice it to say I have a lot of '70's easy listening songs that play in my car.

You're not alone in your shame... I actually recognized 98% of your song list. And Leo Sayer? You ROCK!

Stacey Q, Sheila E., Wings, Little River Band... you're definitely a music connoisseur!

(This coming from the girl who has Air Supply's Greatest Hits on CD!!!)

We really must be old if we listen to these songs on our own free will! But I agree, it is the nostalgia attached that makes them good.

Revealing that list was equivalent to standing on a street corner naked. You absolutely win. I do have Barbie Girl by Aqua and America's greatest hits if you ever want to add to your collection.

Christine - are we talking Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond?!? If so, I wouldn't tell anyone either - ha ha.

Michele - a woman after my own heart...that makes me feel better!

Kasey - yeah, we're definitely getting old. I enjoy songs now that my parents used to force me to listen to. It's GOTTA be the nostalgia factor. That's what I'm pleading, anyhow.

Cory - considering that I'm a big pregnant woman right now, I'd much rather expose my horrible taste in music than any body parts not normally covered by clothing. Trust me, you are all getting off easy this way!

Christine listens to "Delilah After Dark."

(That was said in a sing-songy voice.)

Foolish Beat by Debbie Gibson?

I think I might have to remove you from my blog list.

LMAO

At least it isn't "Between the lines."

"Oh Mickey, you're so fine, you're so fine, you blow my mind - hey Mickey."

Sigh....now I feel old.

Cory - I just laughed so hard I think I peed a little (which is not uncommon when you are 8 months pregnant)!!!

Kate - I think I feel a little better knowing that I've never heard "Between The Lines" -- I was gonna say to be glad it's not Electric Youth!

mk99 - Dude, I love that song. Must go download it now. ;)

Christine said...

Hey, sometimes I still wear my Electric Youth cologne. Whooops, wasn't supposed to admit that.

Thanks for ratting me out, Cory. I can hear Michael McDonald and Christopher Cross playing right now.

Christine - Electric Youth cologne!!!! Is that what I smelled at the shower? And here I thought that E. had made a stinky. ;)

I promise I will make a special playlist of 70's easy listening tunes just for you when you come to visit me in July/August. I'll throw in some Christopher Cross and Bread! Let me know if you have any other special requests.
