Platinum Splatinum

I usually travel extensively for my job. Last year was the first time, however, that I finally earned Medallion status on Delta Air Lines. And because I was commuting to/from Arizona for four straight months, I actually made it to Plantinum. Woo wee.

I just received all of these coupons in the mail today for complimentary upgrades, free drinks, etc. and the sad thing is that I might only travel one or two times this year because I am pregnant.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you - it took us over two years to get me knocked up and I've never been happier about anything in my life!

But...it just figures that the one year that I can travel like a rock star, I can't travel at all.

If those are transferable, hook me up. I fly Delta to Atlanta and you know they declared bankruptcy. I'm waiting for them to pull an Independence Air one day soon and go belly up.

God, don't say that! I have so many miles vested in Delta ... okay, they can go belly up once my plantinum medallion status expires. I won't care then. I'm certainly not going to achieve that status next year!

PS: the free liquor/beer/wine coupons are transferrable, but the upgrade ones aren't. Go figure. I'll hook you up with a few drinks when I see you in April. ;)

I traveled via airplane all the way up to 36 weeks. I had to fly home to Texas to have both my kids (I wanted to be with my entire family and wanted my kids to be Texans too). The airlines require doctor's permission to fly after 8 months, but noone ever asked me? If you can take a vacation before the baby, I highly suggest it!

The last time I flew, my ears wouldn't unpop when we were trying to land - it was the most painful experience (next to what I expect childbirth to be like)...my ears are always clogged up with this pregnancy, so I'm going to skip flying if I can.

I definitely WANT to take a vacay though -- we shall see! :)

I finally know a rock star (well as close as I'll ever get...since I don't know that Geoff-something guy from Asscream). You're going to regret you posted this, but here's my hook up request...we're going to boston in may (w/the baby - yikes!), can you get us into the nice room (crown? diamond? room) in the airport? I have no clue if this is even a possibility, but it sounds nice!!! : ) You and Stephen need to use those miles for one last pre-baby getaway (preferably somewhere tropical and relaxing).

I forgot all about Triim! Damn about the Crown room...I had visions of cute George Eads look-a-likes feeding me peeled grapes, while G. watched the baby (hey, it's my dream...sorry about your luck G).
