Home Is Where I Am!!!

I've been back home for a whole week and it's so nice! It's kinda rough getting back into a routine, but in a way it is good because I can try to implement some better habits.

We're also full-force again in babymaking activities. Next month we are going to see a reproductive endocrinologist -- after two years of trying unsuccessfully, it's time to bring out the big guns. Ideally, I'd like to do in vitro in December, when I can take a lot more time off of work. Of course, I'm still hoping we'll conceive naturally, but I feel better knowing that we are being proactive.

In the past month, three of my friends have given birth. It really doesn't bother me as much as it might have before I started all of the traveling. One of my friends gave birth prematurely and all I can do is hope and pray that her son will be out of the hospital soon.

So, while my four months in Arizona could be considered hell, there were some benefits...shall we?

1. Took my mind off of our inability to conceive - I definitely needed a break

2. Gave me a taste of managing an office...do I want to do it someday? Maybe. Do I want to do it right now? Hell, no!

3. Got me noticed by upper administration. They know who I am and are happy with the job I did. I was told by HR that I've been identified as a super star.

4. Had the chance to visit the Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ - two of the most beautiful places in the world!

5. Ended up not having to move across the country to get a promotion...got one anyhow and still get to work from home!

6. Am now Gold Medallion on Delta - should be Platinum by the end of the year!

7. Made my husband and I appreciate each other more.

8. Made me appreicate EVERYTHING more!

9. My husband no longer gives me a hard time about buying things. I actually bought a Coach purse the other day, showed it to him, and he didn't have a cow. Amazing!

10. I am a lot more independent. I'm not afraid to dine alone, go to the movies alone, or travel alone.

So all in all, it was not a bad experience. I'm just GRATEFUL to be home! :)
