I'll have the spoiled shrimp, please

I'm sitting in a hotel in Fort Worth, TX right now, tired as hell. I flew in last night and slept like crap because the hotel failed to mention that there was a railroad crossing right next to it. At 4am I was scared awake by the blaring horn of a train...over and over again.

There should be a law that all hotels must disclose that, I swear!!!

Today was an alright day though. Made it to the Naval Air Station after my GPS tracking device told me to go to a women's prison. Does it know something about me that it shouldn't?!?!? Hmmmm.

The ladies at the center took me to lunch at the Olive Garden. I PIGGED out on breadsticks, alfredo sauce, and my favorite, Ravioli di Portobello. Then, I wanted to sleep, but couldn't because I had to work, dammit.

My presentation went well tonight. I had 15 students show up, which was perfect because the room was tiny. My throat was dry as hell and I'm all congested from the dry air though, so most of the time I was either a) talking through my nose or b) trying to spit out words with the voice of a frog. It was very well received though, so I can't complain.

On my way back, I passed an Ann Taylor Loft...now I KNOW that I have a true sixth sense for these things. I went in and found a gorgeous dress to wear to my friend, Kristy's wedding in July. Or maybe even to my friend, Allison's baby shower, whenever it may be. I also got a super pretty pink sleeveless sweater. Then, I headed to Borders to pick up this book I've been dying to read.

After, I found a new Asian Fusion restaurant. I was slightly alarmed when I read the sushi menu...one description included "spoiled" shrimp (supposed to be boiled...a kinda BAD mistake, don't ya think?!?) -- but I'm not sick yet so I think I might be okay.

Now, off to try and sleep my last night at the Conjunction Junction Hotel, aka the SpringHill Suites. Tomorrow is a very busy day, as we are meeting with several companies including the NTSB and Southwest Airlines.

Then it's off to my next stop: Abilene.

How more exciting can my life GET?!?!
