Scotland: Day 6

I take back what I said about Stephen's driving...this morning, he scared the living daylights out of me, driving down a long, windy road that at times only had one lane (there are little areas where you pull over if you are closest to it if a car is coming in the other direction). But yet, here we are, still alive, so I guess I'll get over the trauma in time.

Our first stop was Blair Castle - it was like somthing out of a fairytale (see pic above)! We weren't allowed to take pics insude because of all of the priceless antique furnishings and artifacts, but suffice it to say, it was stunning. After, we drove down to St. Andrews (home of the first golf course in the world) and visited St. Andrews Castle and Cathedral. The castle was super-cool, sitting right on the water. We even ventured down into the mine and counter mine, where a battle once took place. It was underground and very shallow -- and a little creepy since people died there. But still cool nevertheless. At the cathedral, Stephen made me climb to the top of one of the towers -- it was a very narrow, winding staircase...I thought I was going to puke from dizziness, but the view was amazing.

After, we had lunch and then drove to Stirling to see Stirling Castle. After, we drove back to Pitlochery, stopping in Killin to take pictures of the most beautiful river we'd ever seen (see pic below). Then, we ventured on and had dinner at a really crappy restaurant in Aberfeldy before going back to Pitlochery.
