It's gettin' hot in here

I am boiling mad right now...and not just because my A/C crapped out. Yesterday, it stopped working so I contacted the superintendent for my builder (this is a brand-new house)...he had his electrician look at it and said that there was a short somewhere. They said to contact an A/C company to come and look at it...not specifying which one.

Soooo, I have a company come out and say what was wrong, but that he couldn't touch it because it would void my warranty. For that he charged me $59.

So I call the company who installed the unit and they say that because company #1 came out to look at it, my warranty could be null and void!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKK!

This house is only 6 months old! I just got a call from the company (#2) and they are now saying they will come look at it -- but if it looks like it's been worked on, the warranty will be void. My fingers are crossed that this person is not an a'hole - maybe I should go put my makeup on...I'm sure he's more likely to be nice to a pretty girl than an ugly one.
