15 months!

Most days, I cannot believe that J. is already 15 months old. The changes at this point are coming quickly and every day there is something new.

About a month ago, he started being able to identify flash cards, which totally blew us away. Okay, so who knows - some babies may have already been doing this for months, but to us, he is a genius. We spread out all of these Baby Einstein flash cards on the floor and will say, "J., bring me the couch" or, "J., bring me the computer" -- damned if he doesn't know every single card. It's the cutest thing ever too -- he will look around until he finds the right one, and when he finds it, he gets a big smile on his face and picks it up.

We actually put J. in daycare last week. It was getting to be too much on the grandmas and we really wanted him to socialize with other kids his age. Four days a week, he goes. There are 3-4 other kids there, all close in age to J. We found the girl who watches him through a friend, whose son also goes there, and she is a godsend. He is adjusting and is getting a lot out of it. Definitely was a smart decision, we think.

There's really too much to tell at this point. He's such an amazing little boy. So much fun, and has a personality that is larger than life. His smile lights up a room and his laugh is the cutest sound I've ever heard. Mind you, he's already started the tantrum thing, but it will pass eventually.

I think I'd love for him to stay this age. At least for a little longer than he actually will.

It has been a great decision. He is thriving in this new environment and becoming much more independent...holding his own bottle, sleeping by himself all night, wanting to feed himself. It was the best decision I think we've made so far as parents!
