Karma, where are you?!?

I was at the mall today and stopped at the ATM machine, when I noticed that an ATM card had been left in the machine by the person who went ahead of me. I looked around for the person (since their picture was right there on the card), but no luck. I called the bank and they put a hold on the card and told me to drop it off at a Bank of America.

Good deed for the day? Check.

Maybe this will give me a kick-start with my karma so that we will sell our old house. It's been on the market now for almost 7 months...I think it's about time we got a break.

just curious how you have it listed.... see, this guy at work moved from his "old" house to his new house and had been trying to sell his "old" house for some time. He was asking for 600. No dice. Well then about 2 weeks ago, he listed it in the range of 599-625 and got A LOT more calls of interest where before he had NONE. maybe you could look into that?

anyway, good for you for turning in the ATM card. i always feel extra special after i do a good deed like that.

good luck with your house!

love ya!

Cupcakes.

I read an article about this awhile back and for the life of me I can't find it now. But anyway, need to sell your house? Cupcakes.

The type depends on the house:

1) selling a modern condo? carrot cake with cream cheese icing

This also applies if you know you are showing your house to a female buyer - some sort of phallic reference with the carrot.

2) selling a gingerbread type house? lemon poppyseed with flower decorations

3) Great house for entertaining? Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing meticulously placed on a serving tray in rows for display.

Does it work?

First showing - I made cupcakes. We got an offer the next day. Their financing fell through.

Second showing - I made cupcakes. We got an offer the same day. Their financing fell through.

Third showing - I made cupcakes. They love the house but just started looking. Who knows?

I have an open house scheduled next weekend. You can bet I am making cupcakes - chocolate with chocolate icing.

good luck with the house sale! My boss just sold hers and it was on the market for 10 months! You're not far behind, so hopefully you'll get it done soon- even though I personally have never sold a house, my parents have several times and it always took forever and was never easy.

it'll happen. The right people just have to find it.

We've dropped the price of our house 3x so that's not the problem. The problem is that the market is saturated with builder's inventory homes and resale homes in the Bradenton market.

I wish we could bake cupcakes but we don't live there anymore! Maybe I could FedEx some to the realtor...ha ha.

We just hit the 7 month mark. I PRAY that it's not much longer than that! As fancy as it looks to own two houses, we didn't budget for carrying two mortgages for this long!

Amen sister. That is why we made our offer contingent upon selling our house. We are close enough to wait it out - hell we've lived here for seven years as is.

Good luck!!!
