For shame

Right now, I'm sad to admit that I am a Republican. When I see the things going on in the Middle East, it makes me sick. Today though, things really hit home for me when I read this article.

A close friend of ours is stationed at that base and I was just appalled by what the article implied...that, "sure, we lost about 23 people, including two Americans...but hey - Cheney is okay so all is right with the world!"

Okay, maybe that's not really what the article says, but that's the impression I got when I read it.

Of course I wouldn't want anything to happen to our country's leaders...just considering the backlash that would occur from it. Even more people would die and nothing would be made better by it (believe it or not).

But still.
