I honestly don't know how I got such a good baby...according to my parents and my older siblings, I was a holy terror as a child, so they were all secretly hoping I'd give birth to the anti-Christ. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but only a little bit.
Seriously though, J. is such a sweetheart! He loves anyone and everyone and is usually very happy and smiley. The only times he gets cranky are when he is super tired, super hungry, or teething. Otherwise, he's an angel.
Speaking of angels, twice since we moved into this house, toys have gone off by themselves. Someone please tell me that this is a normal thing because it freaks me the hell out! The first time it happened, it was about 3am and I was downstairs with J. fixing him a bottle. All of the sudden, a toy in the middle of the living room went off...just for a second. Then today, I had put J. in his crib so I could go to the bathroom and when I walked back into his room, his Baby Tad doll was playing a song - it was on the floor far away from his crib and nobody had touched it. I'd like to believe that it just means that new batteries are in order. Angels wouldn't be a bad thing...ghosts or spirits on the other hand, not so much. As long as this house wasn't built on an ancient Indian burial ground, I think we will be alright.
In other news, things are going great on this end. I've just been so very busy that I've not had time for much of anything, including my blog and Christmas shopping. As soon as I get home from work, I switch to mommy mode and am that way until I'm about to pass out from being so tired.
I wouldn't have it any other way though. I love that kid more than life itself!

If I had a baby as cute as Jake (or Miss Gracie) I'd switch into Mommy mode immediately, too! He is a precious baby and I can't say enough how completely adorable he is!
You are one lucky gal, I tell ya! And I feel your pain of having no time... we're still trying to get stuff done for the house in addition to Christmas shopping. Thank God for the internet!!!
Love ya, honey!

Shhhhh, don't give him any ideas (about how he was supposed to be a little stinker). Great picture!
The thing I can't even fathom, is how every month gets better and better. I keep saying in my head, there's NO WAY next month can top this one...then a few weeks pass and she's even more fun. It's one of those bizarro parts of parenting.
Until they hit about 3 or so. Then the shit hits the fan...hopefully not literally.
The toy thing is freaking me out. We're having the girls weekend at cory's. Sorry Joe. Of course, I could always just drink myself silly and then I wouldn't give a hoot about spooky things.
We've had a couple of toys go off by themselves too. A couple of them seem to be programmed such that they go off by themselves to lure the kids back to playing with them. I think you need new batteries!!!
I'm so glad Jake is such a good baby! Grace was a really good baby as well. Now she's a very independently-minded toddler, but it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Mostly she just needs more cuddles when she's grumpy.
I have the opinion that we seem to be blessed with an angelic child the first time around to encourage us to have more than one. If y'all decide to try for #2, you might end up with Satan himself! lol
