I frequent several forums online and am finding that people are shocked and saddened that Steve Irwin died.
Sure it's sad. Ironic? Sure. But shocking? Hardly.
I admit though, he deserves a lot of credit for a) living as long as he did considering his profession, and b) dying doing what he loved to do.

I agree.. at least he died doing his life's passion. I guess a lot of people are saddened cuz he seemed like a good guy despite his overexcitement. And, he has brought a lot of attention to wildlife conservation around the globe.

I wasn't surprised either. It is ironic that he was killed by something not nearly as dangerous as a crocodile though.
