We were going to head to Daytona for the weekend and stay at my husband's aunt's condo on the beach, but decided against it because it seemed like such a hassle with the dogs and the baby. Instead, here's what I did yesterday:
-Woke up to a crying baby
-Changed his diaper and clothes, since his diaper had leaked
-Fed him
-Held him while he slept for about an hour
-Ate a cinnamon roll that my husband had baked
-Checked email
-Fed the baby
-Changed his diaper
-Fed him some more
-Held him while he slept
-Fed him some more
-Fixed some risotto for lunch
-Changed the baby's clothes because he spit up all over himself
-Changed his diaper
-Changed the baby's clothes again because he peed on himself as I was changing his diaper
-Changed his diaper again because he pooped as soon as I finished changing him
-Fed him
-Held him while he slept (this was a long time because I got fixated on a Lifetime Original Movie starring Tori Spelling)
-Husband watched baby so I could shower, brush my teeth, and put on something other than a robe (this was at around 5pm, mind you)
-Ordered Chinese takeout that husband picked up
-Ate dinner
-Fed the baby
-Changed his diaper
-Sat down with husband to watch Mission: Impossible on television
-Baby was hungry again within 30 minutes so I fed him
-Changed his diaper
-Held him until he fell asleep
-Put him in his bassinet and was finally able to sleep myself

Kate - you have a very good point! And yes, my husband IS divine -- but yours sounds great too!!! :D
Anonymous - Thanks. Even when I bitch, I still think my life is pretty close to perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
I'm jealous...it's 3:30pm and I still have my glasses on, no shower, and the same tank top i slept in...and my baby is 10 months old.
You're kicking some mama butt my friend!
sounds like your weekend was *almost* more exciting than mine. ha, ha!
Chinese take-out sounds awesome... too bad there's not a decent place around here to order some from!
xoxo
Yeah...
What's my excuse for staying in my bathrobe until 5:00 pm?
P.S. You're going to spoil that baby if you hold him while he sleeps. I'm telling Stephen's grandma. Sheesh.
It's such a merry go round and the ride is over too soon, thanks so much for the link to my blog, I hope I can bring a smile to you, even through the sleep deprivation!
Sounds like you're a great mom-congrats again and hope you get some shut-eye.
I am jealous... You got to watch an entire movie in one sitting?!? ;) Lately I've had days (yes, plural) where I don't even get out of my pajamas. Granted, I may get a shower at 9pm, but by then it's time for pj's again. :)
You know, I gotta say I miss those filled days when all that mattered was holding and feeding a newborn. Seriously, goes by so fast--cherish it, even when you're going crazy! xo
