The Cervix from HELL

Unfortunately, they sent us home last night...even though my contractions were 3 minutes apart and pretty strong (some registered as a 90/100 on the monitor).

I seriously think I have the cervix from hell. It just won't dilate!!!

This has officially become the most frustrating experience of my life. When I go to my doctor's appointment today, I am going to become an irrational crazy person if she tries to tell me to wait it out a few more days before scheduling an induction.

It's all of this "excitement followed by certain let-down" that is making me get so upset. I would much rather have something scheduled where I know I'm going in at x date at x time and be ensured that I will be bringing J. home soon thereafter. And if it results in them needing to give me a c-section, I'm fine with that too. ANYTHING to get my baby out, healthy and screaming his little head off.

The only positive to come out of this is that the castor oil helped bring on the contractions, but it never gave me the nasty effects that it's supposed to. Not even once! Would have been a win-win if J. were on his way. Sigh.

I feel so lost trying to comfort you. I think I'm the only one who posts on your comments regularly who doesn't have a kid. It's kinda sad that I have nothing to offer.

Anyway, you can get back at Jake when he's older for putting you through all this waiting! Ha!

Love ya!

Don't worry, honey. Comfort is a foreign concept for me right now anyhow. I don't think anyone can comfort me (if my mom can't even accomplish this, nobdoy can), but knowing you care and are there for me, that really does make a difference. I may be miserable, but I won't soon forget all of my wonderful friends who kept me relatively sane through this whole experience. Love you too! xoxo

HOLY MARY FRANCES! Mother of all things good!! WTF? *(&$#(@!!!! I'm going to cry for you. What a disappointment. Yes, let your dr. have it today at your appt. Turn on the water works...oh, wait i just thought of something...say this slow build up labor thing is making you not sleep at all. My doula told me they will often induce women "your age" (WTF? She was 28 though...so I was O.L.D. to her) when labor has been moving really slowly and keeping you from sleeping for days. Yes, that's it...tell them you haven't slept in days...that the contrax. have been enough to keep you up and that you're going nuts from lack of sleep.

This is just wrong!
