Things that are bothering me right now...

1. My nursery furniture was supposed to arrive last Friday, but now we have no idea when we will get it. Maybe next week. Maybe when our son is 5.

2. Last night I slipped in my bathtub. It was empty but full of suds and I slipped on them because (Einstein that I am), I was trying to check that the window was closed and didn't turn on the light to see what I was doing. Why is it that when we're supposed to have our faculties about us to protect the baby growing inside of us, we women are the most clumsy?!? Everything is fine - just got a huge bruise (more like a hematoma) on my leg, but of course I slept like crap last night thinking I might have hurt the baby.

3. My allergies are KILLING me and I can't take anything that works. My ob/gyn told me yesterday that I can take Allegra, but my husband researched it this morning and discovered that it's not known whether it is safe to take while pregnant or nursing. Guess I will suffer through allergies, as not to risk my son being born with some kind of strange abnormality.

4. My cousin, Dawn, died last week, yet someone has been using her Yahoo! Messenger account. The day she died, they were logged in. I sent several messages to the perp, asking that they have some consideration for her family, but they ignored me. Dawn's sister replied to them too, but they ignored her too. Finally I went ahead and deleted her screen name from my account because it was making me anxious everytime I saw that she was supposedly logged in. Call me crazy, but as far as I know, Heaven isn't connected to the Internet yet.

5. My boss' boss was "let go" last week. I absolutely adored this man. When he was considering the position two years ago, my boss and I took him out to dinner and the three of us immediately bonded. He was a huge advocate for me and if not for him, I wouldn't be working from home right now, and I wouldn't have the cushy title of Director. Plus, he was a great leader and one of the most friendly and supportive people I've ever known. Sucks.

I know I should be taking it easy and not stressing so much, but right now I can't help it. I keep saying I'm going to take yoga back up, and I know I need to...just need to find the energy. Maybe next week will be better.

that is so crazy about your cousin's yahoo account. my neice logs onto her msn account here, so sometimes when i turn on my computer, it automatically logs her in and her friends then im me and ask why she's not at school. do you think it could be something like that?

I hope your allergies aren't too bad!

Maybe those 8+ boxes of Samoas will really come in handy.

If not, I can email you some hugs!!!

B - At first I thought it was something like that, but the person logged in and out a few times. Even after my uncle had taken her computer from her apartment. I don't know who it was that was doing it, but my cousin's sister contacted Yahoo and they let her change the password. Now whoever it was can't log in, thankfully. Who does that kind of thing?!?

M - Thanks for the hugs. Hugs are better than Samoas (and that's saying a lot coming from a pregnant lady)!

Which sister? I hope she's okay.

Zyrtec is a class B drug. I asked my doctor (no, I'm not pregnant). She said that the studies had not yet been done on Allegra, but that they are essentially the same. Ask Stephen to research it.

C - I'll check on Zyrtec - thanks for the suggestion! Anything to make this madness stop!

Hmm. Well at least that jackass can't log in anymore. I wonder what kind of sick pleasure that person (using the term loosely) gets out of doing crap like that.

You are right...allergies can push a pregnant woman right over the edge. My dr. ok'ed claritin, but I only took it a few times (it seemed to work for a few days...maybe because I wasn't used to it). Usually I'm a daily allegra user, so that was really hard. Oh, and get this, when you're breastfeeding, it gets even more fun...you can't take sudafed, allergy meds (ANY OF THEM!) or any kind of decongestant...they all make your milk supply decrease. Granted it's only for a day or so, but still...low milk = crabby baby...so I'll be your pal in allergy hell. : (

Sorry about everything that's happening. That's a lot to take all at once. Just think, we'll all be together soon...that will cheer you up.

Oddly enough, my nurse-midwife prescribed Sudafed for me when I got a miserable cold when I was about three months pregger with Gracie. It got so bad I couldn't handle it. I figured that since my nurse-midwife (whom I loved) had prescribed it, then it was okay for me to take it. And Grace is fairly normal now!! :o)

B - Tell me about it! Who knows who it was, but hopefully karma kicks his ass ;)

C - I can't wait for us to hang out! I miss you guys so much!

K - I've heard Sudafed is okay to take. May have to consider it if nothing else I can take will work. And yes, Gracie is normal -- despite prancing around naked in her crib! :) Hee hee.

I forgot to mention... I'm not sure exactly, but I believe that homeopathic "meds" are ok for pregnant women. If so, the Whole Foods there should sell both Stinging Nettles and Mullein; both are great for sinus related conditions. I buy them in liquid form when I can and capsules when I can't. A dropper or two full in a tall glass of juice a few times a day outta help tremendously.

And that's my 2 cents worth!

M - Thanks for the tip! :)

Honey I'm so sorry you have all this crap to deal with. DOn't worry about the fall... our bodies are made to be extra protective during pregnancy so I'm sure all is fine. As for the alergies, didn't have them when I was preggers but I did have terrible sinus infections that I was only allowed to take guafinex (sp?)it's a mucus thinner - Mucinex is one of the bigger names although there are others. It works sonders and I still take it whenever I get sick. Hope this week is better baby girl!
