I am pregnant.
Pregnant, I tell you!!!!
After two years and three months of utter frustration, it finally happened!
On Thursday of last week, there was a very faint line on the pregnancy test - almost a shadow. I peered at it in various lights to be sure it was really there. It was, kind of.
On Friday, I took another test and this time, it was slightly darker. I showed it to my husband before we left for our appointment at the Fertility Specialist (how ironic is that), and he was very skeptical.
So, we decided to go to the appointment anyhow and then after, rode rollercoasters at Busch Gardens for a few hours before catching a flight to see his sister in Maryland.
The next morning, there was definitely a line...darker than yesterday but still pretty light.
On Sunday, same thing.
By Monday, I was ready to take a real pregnancy test...the kind that actually says "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant." After so many months of see the "Not Pregnant" show up, I couldn't believe it when it said "Pregnant."
I've taken three more since and all say the same thing.
Pregnant.
Words cannot express how excited we are. This is absolutely incredible! We're going to wait until Thanksgiving to tell our families, but we've shared the news with a few of our friends. It's impossible to keep such wonderful news all to ourselves!!!
According to the Chinese calendar, it will be a boy -- however, I sense that it will be a girl.
It's still so soon and anything could happen, but I'm going to remain optimistic. I have my first prenatal visit on November 4th, two days before my birthday.
Speaking of birthdays, the baby's due date will be around June 14-15. A Gemini. Twins, maybe?
A girl can hope! :)
