Worth the wait!

I am still on a high from the Duran Duran concert last night. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! I waited 22 years to see them live and it was SO worth the wait!!!!

Before the concert, we all met at Buca di Beppo for dinner. We passed a bar on the way to the venue and decided to stop for a drink...I had a double Stoli Vanilla and Diet Coke. Having had two drinks at Buca beforehand, I was feeling pretty good.

When we got to our seats, our noses started bleeding, we were the second row from the very top, however we were dead center. I was all fired up because Ticketmaster had released AMAZING seats right next to the stage the day of the concert - and they were the same freakin' price!!!

Debbie, Sheree, and I decided to leave the guys and try to land a better seat. We snuck behind a curtain which actually took us behind the stage. We stood there for awhile, hoping that when the lights went out, we could sneak over to the really good (and practically empty) section, but it wasn't to be. We were kicked out, so we waited until the concert started and then barged into a section like we owned the place. The guy didn't ask for our tickets, so we found a seat. The problem was, it was one seat -- for three people! We eventually got kicked out, BUT we got to be right there -- so close to Simon LeBon -- for two whole songs. It was worth it!!!
I wanted to try again in another section, but Debbie was chicken so we went back to our nosebleed seats and sat with our husbands.

The concert was phenomenal - the best I've ever been to!!! They played for two hours -- four songs from their new album and the rest from older albums, including The Reflex, Is There Something I Should Know, Union of the Snake, Rio, Planet Earth, Wild Boys, Girls on Film, Ordinary World, Come Undone, Hold Back the Rain, The Chauffeur, Save a Prayer, Hungry Like The Wolf, etc. etc. The only disappointment was that they didn't play A View To A Kill, but we'll get over it!

I will definitely see them again, and next time, screw Ticketmaster - we will go through a broker and get floor seats!!! I don't care how much it costs!!!
