This has got to be the scariest thing that anyone in this country has had to consider in any of our lifetimes. I had to take a nap today to get away from listening to the news and when I'd woke up, I wanted to believe that it was all a very bad dream.

Not so.

I imagine this event is going to be affecting us for a long, long time. It's going to change us all and how we live our lives. No more of the Pollyanna "Nobody can touch the U.S." thinking. It's happened. Those days are over.

I pray for all of the people who died and for all of the families who will be grieving at the loss of those they loved.

What a sad day to be an American.
